The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½) began with the first class in 2003. Each year, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ has provided a significant economic impact for the communities, states, and regions served. In addition, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ has never required state funds for operations or construction, resulting in no cost to the taxpayer.
The College is an example of successful public/private partnerships and has formal collaborations with Virginia Tech, Auburn University, the College Town Consortium in Spartanburg, and the University of Louisiana Monroe. As such, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ students are afforded a large university experience while attending a private college. These partnerships also result in the sharing of resources, which provides positive revenue sources for the universities.
